Paper Mail
In today’s digital world, there still can be a place for ‘old school’ paper mail. We recently embraced this method for our book.
As an Author, getting your book in front of potential readers is how you sell your book. How best to accomplish this? One way is to send out mailings to bookstore owners and/or businesses or schools that might benefit from reading said book. And what to include in those mailings? That is the key question for really any business trying to acquire new buyers or readers or patients or clients.
Solicitations with just written information can be overlooked. But those with something useful have a better chance of success. In our case, sending the book itself or a postcard of the book or a bookmark for the book, is the approach we are employing. If you read at all, a colorful bookmark that also sells your product, a book in this case, likely will not just be tossed.
In the dog world, owners often use treats to reward their pets for good or desired behavior. Few dogs can resist their favorite treat. They are simply too engaging to ignore. Paper mailings should have the same impact on your target markets. We are hopeful of good success with our efforts.
Be well.
