Get Carded

When adding a pet to your household, you always want to make sure they have tags or cards on them identifying their name and where they live. Small business owners also need to make sure they are properly carded.

Even in today’s digital world, physical business cards still have their place. You can make them at local office supply stores, at home, or online. They vary in thickness and feel and look. The combinations of creativity are truly endless. But the one main component needs to be that it tells the story of your business: who you are, what you do, and where you can be found.

Illuminate has a few different business cards, not just one. We had one created for our Peer Advisory Group, IWON, our Blog/Book, Making A Point, our supporting role with my sister’s firm, and our general consulting practice. We stayed with our logo colors but have different logos for 3 out of the 4 cards. This was not to confuse people but to define that part of the business under discussion with a particular client or prospect. However, where to find us never changed - same phone number, email address, and physical address.

Being on message sometimes means being creative with how you label your business. Depending on your firm, one business card may be all you need. If it does not tell your entire story, be creative and add some additional business cards.

We have had great success identifying those areas of our business we wish to promote at different times. Hopefully, you can also.

Be well.
