Do you have a Slow Season?

Recently, a small business owner mentioned that an Ad for my book inspired her to make her own Ad. She mentioned it is her slow season and it seemed like a good time to focus on marketing.

Some firms never slow down, but if yours is like so many others, there will be ebbs and flows. And when that pause, that quiet time comes along, it is a great opportunity to reassess and focus on gaining momentum for the future. Small Ads, whether professionally crafted or self-created for social media, seem to be a good use of our time. Use this available time to self-promote, wherever your clients may be found.

One of our favorite spaces for Ads is the Signature in emails. Emails are filled with words but if you can differentiate yours with a logo, a catchy phrase, a photo, or an actual Ad, what a great way to catch the attention of possibly your next client! Take advantage of this marketing opportunity to promote a new product or service or to introduce yourself and firm or just a reminder of what your firm offers.

If you want to use a professional level photo in your email signature or Ad, check out the Mobile App called Unsplash. This allows you to download free high-resolution photos. It is the site where we found the building used in our Illuminate logo. It also was instrumental in many of our early blogs when we used dog photos that were not of our Barbet. You can even download your own photos for others to use if you are so inclined. There are some really beautified photos that can inspire you to sell your services or products in a whole new light.

As much of the country plunges into longer and darker seasonal nights ahead, take advantage of any down time. Put it to work for you and your business.
