Grants
It is almost Spring in the Northeastern US. It is a good time to emerge from your office and identify some Grants for your business.
Below are the top Small Business Grants we have identified in a recent internet search. They may be worth your time to review.
Top Small Business Grant Opportunities
Amber Grant (WomensNet): Women-owned businesses can apply for monthly $10,000 grants, with three $50,000 year-end grants available.
NASE Growth Grants: The National Association for the Self-Employed provides up to $4,000 for specific business needs like marketing or equipment.
Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR): Highly competitive, research-focused federal grants for high-tech innovation.
FedEx Small Business Grants: Annual grants for small businesses, typically announced in the spring.
Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC): Offers grants for underserved businesses, including technical assistance and emergency support.
We highly recommend you check out your local and state economic agencies as well. Most notable of those are the IDAs. We wrote about these a few years ago and can be found through the search button at the top of our Blog page. Local towns may also have urban development corporations that have very small grants for targeted business types or targeted locations.
If you are not sure where to find anything locally, ask your accountant or commercial banker. They should know how to help.
You may not find what you want but it really is good to be in the know. You never know when you may need additional capital!
Be well.
